Hi, I'm Cameron! I started with a single product idea, and a failed kickstarter goal. I now have a well equipped garage workshop, and perform every process myself, except making screws, magnets and pocket clilps. From raw material to finished product. Stock prep, machining, heat treating, surface grinding, vapor blasting, aluminum anodizing, and laser engraving. I even make my packaging from red oak and card stock!

Iron Forest was inspired by a quote from Washington Irving, written while he was traveling here. "We were kept for many weary days toiling through a dismal series of rugged forests, I shall not easily forget the mortal toil, and the vexations of flesh and spirit, that we underwent occasionally, in our wanderings through the Cross Timbers. It was like struggling through forests of cast iron.”

My day job is being a dad. I only make knives in my spare time. It's a trade off, and very difficult at times, but it's worth it!
